Prime Minister Dahal has inaugurated the Lumbini Cable Car.

On June 8, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal inaugurated the newly-installed Lumbini cable car service. The cable car route spans approximately three kilometers, running from Golpark Bamghat in Butwal sub-metropolitan city-3 to Basantapur in Tinau rural municipality-3, located in Palpa district. This cable car service is the first of its kind in Lumbini Province.

During the inauguration, PM Dahal unveiled a copper plaque at the Bottom Station in Golpark Bamghat, officially launching the cable car service. Basantapur, which can now be accessed through the Lumbini cable car, has become a religious tourism destination featuring attractions such as the Kamakhyadevi Temple, Bhagwati Temple, Ganesh Temple, Kailash Parbat, ponds, and stone spouts.

To ensure the daily operation of the cable car service, an agreement has been reached among Lumbini Cable Car Company, Butwal sub-metropolis, and Tinau rural municipality. The IME Group, through their investment, constructed and initiated this cable car service, which marks their third cable car venture.
